I’m Austin Hines, a Cybersecurity A.A.S. student and Student PC Technician at Lansing Community College.
I started with Java programming, then moved into hands-on IT support. Working with endpoints, operating systems and user issues led me toward cybersecurity.
At LCC, I work on device imaging, hardware setup and Windows troubleshooting. Outside work and class, I’m studying for Network+, practicing Python and Linux, and building a homelab. Security+ is next on my study plan.
I’m interested in security engineering, particularly how infrastructure, identity and permissions affect the security of a system.
