Projects, certifications and progress toward a cybersecurity career
Homelab
I was given a old office desktop. I wanted to learn what I could do with it and that is when I learned about Jellyfin and Plex. I chose to go with Jellyfin and followed setup on it and got it working and even downloaded some old movies onto it for my family to watch. It only stayed as a local project and was good for a few home movie nights but has not found use beyond that point.

Certifications
For my senior year in high school I was enrolled in the talent/career center. I transferred programs from programming and mobile application over to cybersecurity and digital forensics. We got to spend the first semester studying for our CompTIA Tech+ and I took it about a month before the rest of the class so I could start my studies for the next certification faster. I earned this certification in February 2026.
During my Junior year of high school I was enrolled in a talent center program, where I would spend the first 3 hours of the school day at this career center. I was in the programming and mobile application class where we learned how programming languages work and our primary focus was on Java. We made 1 big project at the end of the year with a partner and after that we were able to take the Java exam which I was able to pass in May 2025.
